Tesla unveils its easier-to-install Solar Roof

Tesla Solar Roof

The company announced its new Solar Roof tiles earlier this week after spending considerable time discussing Tesla Energy in its earning call. The construction of these tiles is less costly, CEO Elon Musk claims, if you need a new roof than a new roof with separate solar panels.

This is the third model of the company's Solar Roof tiles, and the latter edition, and now the company says the power density has improved, the portions of the tiles have been cut by half and prices have been significantly reduced compared to tiles of second generation.

Mosque has noted that a roof and board will always be more affordable than the Solar Tiles of Tesla. But it said that he is quite sure that Solar Roof is going to be cheaper 80 percent of the time.

The time needed and ease of installation is one of Tesla's key pushers for those new tiles. Firstly, the company must build them itself but continue to install the roofs by using third party contractors. The goal is to install these roofs in 8 hours. If your roof has ever been built, it is usually a multi-day operation–eight hours is very slow.

For now the black glass tiles only can be purchased, but every six to nine months the Company hopes right new variants. This includes work on a Mediterranean-style design for clay tiles.

In terms of tile quality vs. panel? Tesla seeks energy equivalency at the cell level, but acknowledges that this performance is a small one-digit effect to make the tile look nice. The firm said you would have a larger range of tiles on your house than with boards. Ultimately, the protection is a better solution. This looks better than that.

Obviously, that's when you have a new roof.

The new Solar Roof is now available on request and is scheduled to be installed in customer houses by the firm in a few weeks. The tiles are fixed for 25 years.
